Reviving Old Paintings with new Design Ideas Mixed Media

Date: Evenings (7:00 - 9:30 PM) - Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 & Nov. 7

Location: South Delta Artists Guild, Tsawassen, BC

Course Description: "Strengthen your limits by going to the Outer Limits." This workshop will inspire new options for those unresolved paintings, we will be thinking outsid of the box. Mixed media will be integrated to in resolving desing challenges. Donna will encourage you to work in your own style and support you in stretching you abilities.

It is recommended that students have are comfortable with their choice of media, welcoming all levels.

Supply list:

3-5 unresloved paintings, notebook for notes and quick sketches, paint brushes (selection of your favourites)and a few that are larger than you are comfortable bring flat1/2,1", paper or canvas(your choice)

White gesso, soft gel gloss, matte medium, black gesso, scraping tools, small spray alcohol, toilet paper, paper towel, water bucket, any colours ink, any collage, pallete for paint, drawing materials ie. charcoal, pencils, crayons, pastels, etc.

Paint recommendation: acrylics, fluids or heavy body, w/c and gouache,

Quinacrodone - Gold, yellow ochre, dairylide yellow/cadmium yellow deep, Quinacrodone Burnt Orange, Cadmium Orange Deep, your favourite red, blue and magenta, Titanium white. Bring any fluid metallics you you have them.

Bring one old art magazine.
